    The Quran in Arabic, does not say that mountains have roots.

    When the M. Khan translation of the Quran says “mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm” it means that the mountain is affixed to the earth not that it has roots like trees.

    NONE of the other translations NOR the original Arabic have the word root.

This is one of the miracles of the Quran. Where did Muhammad get the idea that mountains have roots? Can you present any scientist at that time that have this idea?
