   Islam is essentially a political religion. Mohammed did not fight to do prayers 5 times a day and feed orphans. He fought to convert people to his ideology and take prisoners/ slaves of those who refused to convert/ accept Islam, in addition to the property and wealth they possessed. That was the concept of Jihad. The Koran repeatedly calls pacifist muslims as hypocrates and ordains them hellfire.
